Bicester Chamber has been the voice of Bicester Business for around 100 years serving the business and professional community in the town and neighbouring areas. It is a voluntary organisation working with other key stakeholders in the town including Local Authorities and Bicester Vision to give an independent voice to the town’s businesses, support business growth and address the issues and opportunities affecting Bicester’s burgeoning network of small and medium sized businesses.
Bicester Chamber of Commerce:
Bicester is at the heart of Cherwell District and equidistant between London and Birmingham. It is served by Junctions 9 and 10 of the M40 and boasts 2 train stations (Bicester North and Bicester Village) both serving London Marylebone in as little as 47 minutes with frequent and reliable services to both Oxford and Birmingham.
The town’s Railway connectivity will be further enhanced when works to connect Bicester village station to Bletchley, Milton Keynes and Bedford are completed; which is anticipated to be as soon as 2020.
Bicester has been awarded ‘Garden Town’ and ‘Healthy New Town’ status to add to its already being a designated ‘Eco Town’. It is undergoing rapid growth in housing and new business activity with the population set to double by 2031. The Graven Hill development represents the largest ‘self-build’ project in the UK and this is soon to be joined by significant growth in availability of commercial property.
It is against this background that the Bicester Chamber of Commerce is well placed to support businesses in the Bicester area and provide a friendly network engaged with all aspects of the exciting evolution of one of the fasted growing towns in the United Kingdom.
